October Fest

So, for some reason I thought that it had only been a couple of weeks, like two at the most, since I had last put a post on our blog. Boy was I wrong. i am coming up on a month again. Well, I guess some habits are harder to break than others, but at least I was consistent for the month of September. I thought I would post a little something while laying in bed a little sick waiting for Jared to come home from work and make me some chicken soup. :) No need to worry, just the little common cold.

The month of October has been great and has gone by so fast! It is almost time for Thanksgiving and I could go for some yummy turkey and pie right about now. We started the month off with a nice trip to St. George to watch General Conference with Jare's parents and family and to spend some nice relaxing time next to the pool.  :) I love me some sun! Jared is busy working and making plans for graduate school and to further his education. We have so much to look forward to. I am trying to stay alive and survive this semester. I have been enjoying my time volunteering at the Utah State Hospital with the little kiddos. They always brighten up my day.

We had a great time with dad and mom Mortenson last weekend. Saw some great movies, ate some yummy Thai food and enjoyed one another's company. We did go and see The Help. LOVE IT!! Go see it and make sure you take a box of Kleenex with you. I was a little teary eyed at the end. If you ask Jared he will tell you that I was not just a little teary eyed I had rivers coming out of my eyes. So, if I cried during this movie then who knows how everyone else will react. :)

We are doing great! Now, if I could only beat this cold. Love to you all!

Not sure how this one made it in the pile of pictures...this is when we were engaged and my hair is about 3 inches shorter now. :)

Had to take a picture to celebrate our 3 months of being married at the place we were married at.

AHHHHH 3 months!!!! ( Actually almost 4 now ;))

What a beauty.

Lissie adores Jared. Every time we come to our place and he is not here she is sad.

PS I never know what one is suppose to write on a blog...
